THE PINK DRESS RUN
ABOUT THE RUN
ABOUT THE CAUSE
Several years ago I started this fundraiser as a means to distract myself from the reality of a breast cancer diagnosis. I didn’t know what would happen. Every year I am amazed at the amount of love and support the city of Buffalo has to offer. A love I will continue to pay forward. Someone recently asked me when I would stop hosting the PINK DRESS RUN. My answer: when there is a cure.
This is our mission at the PINK DRESS RUN.
Saturday, September 15, 2018 marks the ninth annual PINK DRESS RUN, an event to raise funds for breast cancer research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. To date, the BUFFALO PINK DRESS RUN has raised over $57,000 for breast cancer research, and there is no stopping us! Every year all proceeds go to Roswell in the name of a powerful, inspirational individual. The 2018 honorees are no exception. This year will be a memorial run for Connie Walsh and Sam Smith. Man do I hope they look down and laugh!
Please join us in a day of celebrating life, happiness, health, friendship, family, and what really matters: making fun of the man next to you running two miles in a pink dress. The PINK DRESS RUN is a fun, festive two-mile run/walk. Participants are invited to dress in their favorite pink dress, gown, wig, skirt, or costume.
We will see you at the start line!
Pink attire is of course optional. Every party has a pooper. If you don’t dress up, well, then, you’re the pooper.”
